Backyard Monsters is a strategy and war game . The gameplay is inspired by the Tower Defense games. You must protect your main building of the attacks of aggressors. On this basic principle, Backyard Monsters lets you create a small town (the backyard) where you will build various buildings and upgrade them to develop your power and then be able to attack your neighbors.
Having a look at the map you'll see that you have two types of neighbors. Humans who play the game like you, and characters of the game that offer challenges to conquer. What is nice in the game for beginners is that for a period of several days you are not challengeable, so you can train yourself to attack the characters of the game to hone your tactics. Fairly quickly you will understand the basics of the attacks, and tactics associated with each of your little monsters that you will grow with love.
Backyard Monsters offers a tutorial very well done and very complete you will take over the beautiful game interface in minutes. You can progress quickly in the game, and your first day with a little practice and perseverance to win many battles against characters who are there to fight. The bestiary of monsters is quite rich, and they have various characteristics that make them attractive if you like to play focused on strategy. Clearly if you're just nags, you can't likely succeed beyond the first four or five fights.
Graphically the game is very nice, neat graphics with great finesse. The sound environment is pretty nice although it is a little bit too quiet. Small events will punctuate the game (collecting resources, building developments) putting a fun twist in the game
A Backyard Monster trick to help you win shinny (the precious pieces that can reduce the time when performing actions), explore your game card and each time you see a mushroom, click to pick it up with one of your small manufacturers characters. About a mushroom over three contains shinny. Feel free to explore the whole world by putting you in full screen mode, even the mushrooms out of your Backyard limits are collectible.
Backyard Monsters is a really great strategy / War Game with humor, beautiful graphics and really interesting challenges ahead.
